Cookies policy

The policy applies to "cookies" and applies to websites: websites, applications (hereinafter: "Websites" or individually "Website"), owned by WICCI Poland-India (hereinafter: "Administrator").

On our websites, we use internet markers, such as files, e.g. cookies or local storage, to collect and process personal data in order to personalize content and analyze traffic on websites, applications and on the Internet.

What are cookies?

Cookies are understood as IT data, in particular text files, stored in users' end devices (hereinafter: "User" or "Users") (such as a computer, telephone or tablet), sent via websites. These files allow to recognize the User's device and properly display the website tailored to his individual preferences, they enable displaying the website in the user's language "remembered" by these files, as well as the use of other website settings selected by the user. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the storage time on the end device and a unique number.

What do we use cookies for"?

Cookies are used to adapt the content of websites to the preferences and device of the user and to optimize the use of websites. These files allow you to save the User's choices as to the language, browser, settings of selected elements of websites, as well as saving information about the User's location. In other words, "cookies" are used to adjust the content of the website to the individual preferences of the User, first of all, these files recognize his device to display the Website in accordance with his preferences.

Cookies are also used to facilitate logging in to the User's account and to enable switching between subpages on websites without having to log in again on each subpage.

They are also used to create anonymous, aggregated statistics that show how the User uses websites, which allows improving their functionality, excluding personal user identification via analytical tools such as Google Analytics. Cookies also help to ensure the polishing and smooth operation of websites, including website performance testing.

In addition, "cookies" are used to implement interactive functions using social networking sites, including: facebook.com.pl, linkedin.com.pl, instagram.com.pl, google.com.pl.

What cookies do we use?

Among the cookies used, they can be divided into:

Temporary session cookies - "cookies" placed for the duration of the browser (session) use, and are deleted after closing it or logging out of the website.

Persistent cookies - they are not deleted after closing the browser and remain in the user's device for a specified period of time or without a validity period, depending on the settings of the website owner.

A detailed breakdown of cookies used on our websites is as follows:

  • "Necessary" cookies, enabling the use of services available on the Website, eg authentication cookies used for services that require authentication on the Website;

  • cookies used to ensure security, e.g. used to detect fraud in the field of authentication on the Website;

  • "Performance" cookies, enabling the collection of information on the use of the website pages;

  • "Functional" cookies, enabling "remembering" the settings selected by the User and personalizing the User's interface, eg in terms of the selected language or region from which the User comes, font size, website appearance, etc .;

  • "Advertising" cookies, enabling the delivery of advertising content to Users more tailored to their interests;

  • used for analysis and research, audience audit - they enable the owner of websites (Foundation) to better understand the preferences of their users and, through analysis, to improve and develop products and services. Typically, the website owner or research firm collects information anonymously and processes trend data without identifying the personal data of individual users.

We also divide cookies due to interference with the User's privacy

 

Harmless - Includes cookies:

  • necessary for the proper functioning of the website,

  • necessary to enable the functionality of the website, but their operation has nothing to do with user tracking

 

Research - used to track users, but not including information that allows (without other data) to identify a specific user.

Cookies  and personal data

On the basis of "cookies", both session and permanent, it is not possible to determine the identity of the User. The cookie mechanism does not allow the collection of any personal data.  

Files generated directly by a given Website cannot be read by other websites. External Cookies (ie Cookies placed by the Foundation's partners) may be read by an external server.

Deleting "cookies"

The Administrator's right to store and access "cookies" results from the consent expressed by the User of the websites. This consent is expressed by the User when configuring the web browser or the selected website or service. The User has the option of returning to these settings at any time and determining the conditions for storing or accessing this information by the Administrator.

By default, the web browsing software allows cookies to be placed on the end device by default. These settings can be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of "cookies" in the web browser settings or to inform about their every transfer to the user's device. Detailed information on the possibilities and methods of handling cookies is available in the software (web browser) settings. Limiting the use of "cookies" may affect some of the functionalities available on the website.
